I have a work in progress this week, so instead of posting a work in progress photo, I thought I'd play a little game. So I want everyone to take a guess at what I'm painting. I won't hold you in suspense for an entire week, I'll post the entire work in progress pic tomorrow. Can't wait to see what you come up with:)
Since becoming a blogger last year I've had the honor of being featured on several blogs. So today I want to feature a fellow inspirational artist on my blog.
The first artists I'm featuring is Crystal Cook. Crystal's art is amazing. She is a fellow watercolorist. Her portraits are just breathtaking. Not only is she a superb artist but she is also always there for advice and support. So Thank you Crystal for being such a great blogging buddy.
Here are two of my favorites. Make sure to stop by and check out her blog:)
I'll post my answer tomorrow.
Carrie
Carrie, I have absolutely no idea what your latest wonderful painting could be. I do agree that Crystal Cook is an amazing artist like yourself and I love following her blog as well. I learn so much for both of you it is an honor to consider both of you as blogger friends or as I've coined the term "blends" for blogger friends. :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm. It looks like bricks and part of a window or door. But then I can't figure out what the orange flower looking thing is. I'm probably completely wrong.
ReplyDeleteCarrie - I have no idea what this painting could be, but this little piece of it reminded me of two smoke stacks with fire coming out the top.
ReplyDeleteCrystal is a fantastic artist!
Well, this is a toughie. I'll take a stab but I know I am probably wrong, how about the underside of a table?? Nope, oh well maybe next time!
ReplyDeleteCarol, happy to be blogger buddies too!!
ReplyDeleteVirginia, just what is that orange flower looking thing?
Michelle, hmmmm
art2cee2 interesting:)
This is so much fun!!
Hm. I'll say it's upside down. It's a flower outside on the patio, with brick ledge and fence posts behind it? Your work is all so gorgeous, by the way!
ReplyDeleteIs it a cake with little flags stuck on top...and a flower? hmmm.
ReplyDeleteCrystal's work is wonderful and how lovely that you two have connected and are supportive....
By the way it is freezing here....send up some hot weather....ppppplease.

J'aperçois un mur de briques... quelques colonnes... et je découvre grâce à vous un joli blog... Bisous
ReplyDeleteOoo, this looks tricky but it almost looks like a brick fireplace with columns - or it could be a painting within a painting - a piece of art on the wall? Looking forward to the answer!
ReplyDeleteStunning paintings!
ReplyDeleteWell this is quite the fun game! :) I am going to guess fall trees next to a red brick house??? It's a tricky one, and I'll have to say that I was thinking the same thing as Michelle at first. Then I thought, why in the world would Carrie paint smoke stacks?? So I don't think that's it.
ReplyDeleteAnd holy mother of awesome shout outs!! Thanks so much Carrie!! :):):) You totally made my day and I count it as one of the biggest benefits of blogging that I got to meet you and be your friend. You rock in an all out glorious way. Paint on sista!
Ok, I didn't cheat even though I'm late to the game. I thought it was amaryllis flowers. When I look at the painting it looks like I'm partially right?
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE Chrystal Cook's paintings.
