Let It Snow *Carrie Waller

"Let It Snow" 6x8 BUY NOW
Hi Everyone,
Hope you had a great weekend!  This week I have a Christmas piece.  I know, I know, it's not even Halloween, but I'm getting ready for a Holiday show.  So here is "Let It Snow".  I had a blast painting this.  I even changed the colors of the original snow globe and now I wish my snow globe looked like the painting:)  Snowmen are my favorite and I decorate with them at the Holidays.

Steven (5) and Sam (2) got into the action this week.

Hope you have a great week, see you Wednesday!

  1. Your snow globe is perfect! Now I'm intimidated to start my annual snow globe marathon! OK. Well, I'll just be inspired by you. As a watercolorist you really push the boundaries, and go beyond and beyond what people normally do with that medium. Really, Carrie. You rule!
And Steven and Sam - they are so lucky to have you nourish their artistic talents!
I bet you don't GET a lot of snowmen in FL, right?

  2. I've actually kind of been waiting for your holiday paintings for a while since I LOVED your Christmas and Halloween ones last year. This is gorgeous Carrie! Love that happy little snowman inside. And Steven's and Sam's work is so great. Love the scarecrow in a snow globe. :)

  3. What a talented trio. You and the boys do fantastic work. I adore snowmen and have a couple dozen that I set out at Christmas. I wish I could find one in a snow globe.

  6. It's never too soon for Christmas as far as I'm concerned. In fact my dad sings Christmas carols all year long! (although perhaps that's because those are the only words to songs he knows.) :) Anyway . . . great pics by the boys -- so sweet. Aaaah . . . the good stuff.

    gros bisous

  13. Great painting of a snow globe and a great idea too - love your originality! Sam's first painting (of the two) could easily be in MOMA don't you think? Steven obviously has talent too! Glad that you are mentoring them both at such a young age - wish I had had someone to do the same when I was young!
