Work in progress watercolor on paper 6 x 8 |
Hi Everyone,
I'm sharing my current work in progress today. This piece accompanies the painting from last week. It's a commission and this is my clients favorite wine.
I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day yesterday. It was just about
the best one I've ever had because my hubby came home from Afghanistan
after a long deployment. The boys and I were overjoyed, we're so happy
to have the family back together. Now it's time to pack up and move.
Wish us luck going to be a crazy month of May:)

ReplyDeleteGreat moments captured for a lifetime. Love the "welcome home" flag...the boys must have had a ball making it. Our family has had so many deployments...and homecomings are always so special. Loved that you shared yours with us. Good luck on the move...my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

ReplyDeleteAmbition has but one reward for all: A little power, a little transient fame; A grave to rest in, and a fading name travel photography
ReplyDeleteEnhorabuena Carrie.
ReplyDeleteun saludo.
Congratulation for the reunion! I love how the bottle has already come out -- breathtakingly real. Interesting too see how you first mapped out all the red sparkles on the glass. Love to see all these progress shots!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful news Carrie! I am glad Brian is safe and home with you and kids now. My son is applying today to an active duty and wants to go to Afghanistan.I am very proud of him; but my heart is scared. And you know what I mean, I bet.
ReplyDeleteThe work in progress seems to promise a very good outcome. I can't wait to see the result. I was going to paint wine bottles with the grapes also. Already made photo references ; but got distracted (maybe because I don't drink alcohol, eh..) But your artwork inspired be to try (not alcohol of course)to paint the wine and the grapes one day!
Thank you,
Irina
